Psalm 23

I am so thankful for a Shepherd that does not mind that I am a lot of work. When I decided to give up the right to live my life the way I believed I was smart enough to live it, it was because I believed He knew what was best for me. The word of God tells me what the shepherds job is, so I don’t have to wonder.
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness, For His name’s sake(Psalms 23:1-3).
It goes on to say a lot more things that He does. He will take care of everything. He cares about all my cares. No one else has all the qualifications to do these things for us. Trusting others to meet all of our needs is too great a burden. It is an honor and a joy for our Shepherd, our Lord, to lead us and guide us.
