Opportunity

A few months ago, I found myself with no employment and no phone, but what came out of my mouth was, “Sondria, you have an advantage.” Our Father is faithful and He sees our situations as opportunities.
My word for 2026 is OPPORTUNITY. I truly desired for the Lord to bring me the best opportunity I ever had. I wanted to believe for something spectacular that would change my life forever. I believed I was putting my faith to work by studying what the Bible had to say about opportunity. I could not find that word in the Bible, but what I found was the word Kairos. In the word of God Kairos means opportune time, a seasonable time, the right time. I was looking for exactly what that word meant, a set of circumstances that would make it possible for me to succeed.
Thankfully, the Lord had changed my limited thinking. There was not a day that went by where I did not see an opportunity. I see praying for others as an opportunity. Studying the word of God is an opportunity. Sharing my faith with others is an opportunity. Treating a friend to lunch is an opportunity.
I was wanting the word opportunity to be all about me, and what God can do for me. There was no hardship in not having a phone or job. There was only an opportunity for me to see faith in Jesus. May today be a Kairos day for you to succeed by seeing every opportunity He has for you.
